“Cool roof” at Sports pavilion

Hot-spray applied polyurea membrane + reflective cool roof topcoat.
This project involved the complete re-waterproofing of the roof at the “Ses Canaletes” sports pavilion in Sant Lluís, Menorca. The intervention covered both the metal deck and the flat concrete area, aiming to fully restore the building’s watertightness and improve its thermal performance through a cool roof system.
This solution not only restores the roof’s waterproofing but also significantly reduces surface temperature, lowering the building’s thermal load during the hottest months. An ideal choice for sports facilities seeking thermal comfort, sustainability, and long-term durability.
How we do it:
- Surface preparation
- Mechanical sanding of the old waterproofing layer
- High-pressure water cleaning to remove impurities and ensure proper adhesion
- Pipeline treatment
- Application of KRYPTON PROLINE PU AL PRIMER on pipes and critical detail areas
- Primer application
- Use of Polyurea Activating Primer across the entire surface
- Seamless waterproofing
- Spray application of POLYUREA RAYSTON membrane, ensuring a continuous, jointless waterproof layer
- Cool roof reflective topcoat
- Final sealing with COLODUR white, providing high solar reflectance, reducing heat absorption, and contributing to the building’s energy efficiency
